Who we are
Two seniors and a very good idea
Golden Hour started at somebody else’s wedding.
We got asked to run a dirty soda bar for a reception. We spent the whole night handing drinks to people having the best day of their lives, and we walked out to the car with the same thought at the same time. We loved it, and we spent the whole drive home planning our own.
What we kept picturing was fresh citrus instead of a bottle. Herbs cut that morning. A garnish worth photographing. A bar that belongs in the pictures instead of hiding behind them.
We are seniors in high school here in St. George, we are saving for college, and we run this thing ourselves: the quotes, the prep, the driving, the setup, the pour and the cleanup. It turns out we work really well together, which is most of why this exists.
So when you book Golden Hour, the two people who care most about how your bar looks are the two people standing behind it.

Where we serve
Based in St. George, happy to drive
We are a Washington County business and most of our events are within half an hour of home. We travel further for weddings, and a travel fee is quoted before you book so there is nothing to discover later.
Questions
Before you ask
What exactly is a dirty soda?
A fountain soda built with syrup, a splash of cream and fresh fruit or citrus. Dr Pepper with coconut and lime is the one that started it. Ours are mixed to order over good ice and finished with a real garnish instead of a plastic stirrer.
How are the mocktails different from the sodas?
The mocktails are built the way a good cocktail bar builds a drink. Citrus is pressed to order, the syrups are made in our kitchen from real rosemary, hibiscus and elderflower, and the herbs are cut the day of. A Golden Hour takes about as long to build as a proper cocktail, which is why the drink menus are capped by package size.
Do you serve alcohol?
No. Everything we pour is non alcoholic, which means we can serve at venues and church buildings that do not allow a liquor bar, and every guest can order from the same menu.
Can guests choose what goes in their drink?
Yes, and that is most of the fun. At the hydration station guests pick a base, a fruit and any mix-ins they want, so one person gets plain cucumber water and the next gets electrolytes and collagen. Every mix-in is labeled at the station with its ingredients, and our staff can tell any guest exactly what is in a container. Guests who are pregnant, nursing or managing a health condition should read the labels or skip the supplements, and we never add anything to a drink a guest did not ask for.
Can we do it without a bartender?
Yes. First Light is our delivery package. We batch two drinks fresh that morning, drop off chilled dispensers with ice, cups, garnish and a printed menu card, and pick the equipment back up the next day. Nobody from our team stays on site, so it works for office parties, church activities, graduation open houses and anything where you just want good drinks without a staffed bar. Drop off menus come from the Sparkling Refreshers and Hydration lists, since those hold up for hours without anyone tending them.
How much space do you need?
A ten by ten foot area and access to a standard outlet within fifty feet. If there is no power we bring a quiet battery setup. We can serve indoors or outdoors, and we bring shade for daytime events.
How far in advance should we book?
Spring and fall Saturdays in Southern Utah fill six to nine months out. Weeknights and winter dates are often available inside a month. Send your date and we will tell you honestly what is open.
What do you need from our venue?
A load in path, the outlet, and about ninety minutes before guests arrive. We handle ice, water, trash and every bit of cleanup. We can send a certificate of insurance directly to your coordinator.
Can you match our colors?
Yes. Send your palette or your inspiration photos and we will build the bar styling, the menu cards and the garnish colors around them at no extra charge on the styled packages.
What happens if it rains?
We serve in most weather and bring covering for the bar. If your event moves indoors or reschedules, tell us as soon as you know and we will move with you when our calendar allows.
Is gratuity added to the bill?
Never. The quote you approve is the amount you pay. Tips are welcome and always go straight to the bartenders, but nothing is added automatically.
